LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Camp 2016 Session 1 - FCC
From the first day to the last campers will choose an instrument, form a band and write an original song to perform for their friends, families and the rock camp community. Each day campers will have instrument instruction, band practice and attend a series of informational, interactive and meaningful workshops. Summer Camp is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an end-of-session showcase on the following weekend. All campers should bring a lunch, but no instruments are necessary — we provide all the gear! We have changed locations this year and will be operating out of First Christian Church in SW Portland! 503 445 4991

This unique camp is home to campers aged 8 to 88. My teenage daughter has camped there since she was old enough to register. Every summer she looks forward to returning to WOW Camp. All Pack Event. Enjoy the wonderful Oregon Coast while working on your rank advancement and our Summertime Pack Award. Exact timing is TBD, but the dates are reserved. I have reserved 30 scout and 10 adults slots. We have time to adjust, but the sooner we get this nailed down the better. I will have a sign up sheet for the next Pack/Den Meeting next Thursday for all those interested in going. There is a fee for this $243/Scout and $115/Adult. We do get a free adult admission for every 6 Scouts that go. At the next Committee Meeting we will discuss how we want to ration that out, either by need, or reduce everyone's cost equally, etc.

Arbys No Kid Hungry Campaign - Hope Mills, NC
Arby's is doing it again for the third year but at Arby's location. This year we will be holding different event at the Hope Mills Location to raise money for the No Kid Go Hungry Campaign from August 18 -September 28, 2015. Since 2011, the Arby's Foundation has been a national charity partner of Share Our Strength*s No Kid Hungry* campaign (NKH). As NKH's largest quick service restaurant partner, the Arby's Foundation has raised over $5 million in the past two years to support NKH and other hunger-fighting organizations in the communities that Arby's serves. Activities are plan as follows. Daily Business Spotlight From August 18 -September 28, 2015 Vendors will check in with the manger of the store and set up in designated area Arby's will have a business spotlight section where the vendors can set up there displays. Students ages 13-19 are invited to attend this 5 day traveling camp. Students will be exploring Louisiana from Shreveport to New Orleans. Registration is $300 per student.

Junior Golf Camp instructed by The Hanging Rock Golf Course staff. This camp is for first time players. Players will receive a starter set of clubs and four days of lessons from a professional golf instructor. This camp runs Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 11 am. Summer Camp - Half Day Morning - Week 7 - Mockingbird Baby
Morning: Robotic Golf Open Things on the golf course just arent the same since Lego Robotics have taken over! The holes having moving machines/obstacles and the par just keeps raising. Students will use their imagination and creativity to design and modify unique golf holes on most days. When students are not golfing, they are fighting for the most golf balls with Crabs in the sand trap and having a Golf Cart show down (maneuverability race and battle). Not only do you create your own golf course anew with different obstacles, but teams build and modify a Lego club too. On the last day, the 18th Hole, build a Hole-in-One Catapult! Go for a Hole-in-One! Go for the Robotic Golf Open! Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Are we in Mexico? You would think you were with all the fun Mexican crafts, games, sports and music. Create your own mask, pinata, sombrero, maracas and much more. All in Spanish! Vamos Amigos! Bring your bathing suit each day for water fun! On Wednesday, Campers walk to the Bethesda pool adjacent to the park. Campers must pass a swimming test or stay in the shallow end. There will be a $25 material fee due the first day. Bring a bagged lunch.
