Wednesday Mornings - Four Rock
Our Little River Otters program is modeled around German Waldkindergartens, in which all of our class time is spent entirely outside! Rolling enrollment continues based on availability Outdoor classrooms naturally create endless learning opportunities for our children to nurture their own curiosity, perhaps by following animal tracks and sign, making wild crafts with leaves and treasures found on the forest floor, or using fallen logs as balance beams. Adult mentors assist in the learning, rather than lead the teachings. This is different from a "nature preschool," which infuses lessons with nature-inspired themes and balances indoor time with outdoor time, as we will be outside the ENTIRE time in all but extreme weather conditions. Proper dress and an adventurous, curious spirit is essential... and we know thats what kids do best! 978-463-2233

Participants in Discovery Camp will engage in sports, art classes, swimming lessons, open swim, movie day and weekly field trips. There will be plenty of fun had by all. Participants provide their own sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, movie concession money. Snacks, swim instruction, open swim, all classes, movie admission and field trips are included. No camp July 4. Payment Plan Terms: A $100 deposit per camper and a $10 payment plan processing fee must be paid in full at registration. Remaining camp balance must be paid in full by Monday, June 6, 2016 to attend camp. Contact Recreation & Parks Department for more information. On-line registration for camps is not available. Refund requests made prior to the start date of a program will be cheerfully given less a 5% refund fee. The Advanced Setting Camp is designed for athletes entering grades 7-12 and is ideal for athletes who want to train strictly at the setter position. This position specific camp focuses on all aspects of setting and is led by Head Coach Jerritt Elliott. The skills taught at this camp include hand position, footwork, jump setting, defense, and transition. Campers will also learn offensive systems and setting strategies. Morning: Impossible Search & Rescue Teams in this class have accepted the challenge to be the first responder in circumstances of extreme weather, danger, abandonment and quarantine. These victims need: robots that can climb up ropes to rescue Lego Mini Figure victims, rovers that can drive through and over any obstacle, and so much more. We want to know if your robot can save the day. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance...
