UCALs Full Day Camps are similar to our Summer Camp days: three art classes in mixed-grade groups ( K-3 & 4-8) in a variety of media and genres, outdoor recess ( weather permitting) and indoor free play, with lunch and snack provided. Drop-off starts at 8 am, with the first art class at 9am. Options include a day until 3 pm or 6pm. Join Smart with Art as we discover sea-life creatures and explore the ocean with clay! We will create a bookend influenced by Edward Hoppers art, including a relief lighthouse design. We will work with glass pieces and clay, as we create a slab box based on Hokusais The Great Wave painting. We will learn about creating coils in clay as we design a tile with a sea creature of our choice. Exploring pinch pots techniques, students will design a bigmouth fish creation. We will also dive into a multi-medium work of art that combines an acrylic painting and a clay under the sea work of art. Join us as we explore the sea and set sail in clay with Smart with Art.
