Job Responsibilities include: -Assisting children as they transition on adn off the campus as well as in the classroom, ultimately supporting a positive and effect learning environment. -Following the lead of the classroom teacher and helping with transitions, group work, classroom set-up and helping get supplies and materials ready for each school day. -Helping student to eh pool, helping in the locker room before and after swimming while also assisting the pool staff with student needs. -Supporting the mission of the program and the needs of the teachers and children in all ways reasonable and within the parameters of the position. -Where appropriate, participate in all activities with campers, including specialty classes, free swim, camp meetings and cheers, etc. -Facilitate activities by taking an active role in facilitating a variety of games, sports, arts & crafts, etc. -Provide conflict-management mentoring to students. -Respond to parent and children concerns in an effective, professional manner. -Abide by the guidelines for expectations, behavior and attitude set forth by Summer Program Director, Mikki Frazier. - 5105311300 x2500

Our Jr. S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 3-5), our S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 6-9), and our Counselors-in-Training (ages 10-13) will join forces to solve mysteries, visit the Louvre, take on the Big Apple, and visit the Texas Zoo. Families can register their campers for just one adventure or they can take on the full S.T.E.A.M. Team challenge by signing up for all 4 camps, giving them the title of Jr. CDM Ambassador (ages 3-9) or CDM Ambassador (ages 10-13). CDM Ambassadors will receive a “sneak peek” of the museum prior to its grand opening this fall, and while visiting, they will have the opportunity to share their genius ideas with museum staff and volunteers! MAS Youth Summer Camp 2016! - Junction City, KS
Visit www.maskansascity.org to register! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 12th - Sunday, August 14th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 10-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $120 per child by July 20th midnight. After July 20th, the cost will go up to $140/per child. Registration space is limited! WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER? For the early registration discount, the deadline to register is by Friday, July 20th. After July 20th, the prices will go up to $140. Youth Winter Weightlifting Camp - Waunakee, WI
We are pleased to announce an upcoming Youth Weightlifting Camp, hosted by two USAW Certified Coach’s. This is a great opportunity for local kids during their winter break, plus it is for all levels. The online sign up, for this 2 day clinic, is attached below. We will also have t-shirts, tank tops, or a hat for each registered attendee. Strength training for kids should consist of skills, coordination, stability, movement, agility, kinesthetic awareness, flexibility and balance. This should include big muscle groups that utilize body weight movements and free weights with light, manageable loads. Things like Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and plyometric movements. If these exercises and movement patterns are taught at a young age, the athlete will have a greater advantage in technique as they progress in age and strength. Our Youth Weightlifting Camp is December 28-29th from 9am til 11am both days, for ages 7-17, and again for all levels.

Ceramics 3 - RAKU! Ceramic Intensive - Artists Exchange
For two weeks, your child will be immersed in the world of clay. Campers will learn everything from prehistoric clay working methods, to the modern work of artistic ceramics, and everything in between. The first week is devoted to developing skills using the pottery wheel, sculpting by hand, as well as learning technical aspects of clay including where it comes from, how its used, how its recycled and turned into a finished piece. During the second week, campers will explore different glazing and firing processes including everything that goes into building, loading and firing a traditional Japanese Raku kiln. Safety precautions will be set in place so campers can have a blazingly amazing time! *This is a 9 day camp. Artists Exchange is closed Monday in observance of Independence Day. 401-490-9475
