This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Teen artists wishing to expand and deepen their understanding of arts experiences will want to join in this popular and intensive summer camp. Students of all skill levels will be engaged in the creative process through a variety of classic art mediums and techniques including painting, drawing, pottery making, printmaking, and more in a way they may not have time for during the school year. Because of the multi-media nature of this camp, there will be an emphasis on guiding teens to try new methods and embrace creativity! Artists should wear clothing that can get dirty during the creation of art. Spring Valley Spring Break Camp - Spring Valley
While taking a break from school, spend some time at Spring Valley as spring approaches and the days become a little warmer. One day will be spent at the log cabin, cooking over an open fire. The other days will be spent exploring trails and looking for signs of animals. Well make crafts, play games, and learn about the animals at Spring Valley. Find out what makes the Summit County forests tick as they cycle through their succession. Learn about the effects of mountain pine beetle, fire, and human impact on our local environments and take a zipline tour through some of Colorados beautiful woodlands. Explore the world of forest management through the eyes of a miner on a mine tour and as an FDRD volunteer. So, make like a tree and leaf on this exciting celebration.
