2017 Teen Weekend - De Leon Springs, FL
Teen weekend is for youngsters age 12-17, and campers have the option to bring a friend of the same sex and approximate age. This weekend program allows for interactions amongst peer groups, as well as a learning experience for campers without diabetes. Educational sessions relating to “teen issues,” “school issues,” and “How-to-be-a-friend” are led by pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, dieticians and mental health professionals. We understand that networking and the support of a teen’s peers is critical at this age, so we provide fun and interactive activities such as a beach party, luaus, casino night, and a lot of land sports.
Royal Family Kids Camp Fundraiser - Shelbyville, IL
This fundraiser will be with Thirtyone. I'll be setting up downstairs in the meeting room at Monicals in Shelbyville. All products will be set up to see In person as well as catalogs. This will be an open house from 2pm to 5pm. All sales made help and are very much appreciated as ALL commission from this fundraiser will go towards Natalie storm and her royal family kids camp. This camp provides teens with seizures the opportunity to focus on what they CAN do through the support and encouragement of caring peers and camp staff. Activities include zip line, rock climbing, horseback riding, arts and crafts and more. 303-377-9774
Creativity and Imagination Camp - Piedmont High School
Students will create artworks inspired by the techniques and ideas of famous illustrators, painters and writers. We will study the works of Maurice Sendak, Hokusai, Frida Kahlo, Dr.Seuss, Kandinsky, Shel Silverstein, Mary Blair and more. Students will explore many materials and art techniques such as ink, textile art, collage, watercolor, colored pencil, stamping, and mixed media. All skill levels welcome. Materials are included. Junior camp emphasizes running technique, basic track and field skills, and learning a variety of events. Each camper will learn how to pole vault, sprint, throw, jump and run. Debate camp will introduce you to the fundamentals of competitive academic debate while learning the basics of good argument theory, the format and rules of competitive debate, critical thinking, research and speech skills.
