I used to go to this camp as a kid and now that I have my own daughter, I sent here to this camp as well. My sister, whom also attending this camp as a kid, pulled her kids out of this camp last year, stating that there was a lot of bullying and picking on kids and no accountability for this type of behavior. Full Day Summer Camp 9am-4pm. Half Day Summer Camp Kids/Jr 9am-12pm. Half Day Summer Camp High Tech 11am-3pm. Full Day Camp includes four classes! Ages 3-6 will take Early Simple Machines/Knex Education, Story Time, Kids Coding, and time in the LEGO/ZOOB/Knex/Education/Creative building. Science Terrific I: In this lab class students will be introduced into how to do real science experiments. They will learn how to use real pipetts, beakers and graduated cylinders. They will do test for surface tension, density, and conductivity. Students will test different scientific principles each week including gravity and magnetism. Snacks will be provided. Education WeDo™ Robotics For campers who love to build and then take their models to the next level. New from Lego Education and Renaissance. Our future engineers work on Lego robotics kits. Each builder has his or her own kit! Interactive building and programming models is the newest educational frontier for kids that love building. Kids build a series of models such as an alligator, lion, helicopter, soccer player and more. Builders work together to build and program their model to move and make sounds. LEGO We-Do Robot Construction The LEGO® Education WeDo introduces young students to robotics when combined with the LEGO Education WeDo Software v.1.2 and various Activity Packs. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as language, literacy, and social studies. The students will build any of the over 50 models and contains more than 300 elements including a motor, tilt sensor, motion sensor, and LEGO USB Hub. Girls are incredible with coming up with ideas. This week, they are taught how to take their ideas to the next level. What are operations and what does Math have to do with an idea? They will definitely be able to answer those questions. Girls will use their ideas to solve problems and their skills to resolve challenges. No business deal would be complete without a golfing experience. Golf lessons with a PRO & clubs are a part of the week. Due to the expense of this week, there wont be a make up day for Monday,the 4th of July. Girls will be divided into 2 groups: 7-9 & 10-13. Our capacity is 10 girls per group to ensure an enriching and impactful experience. * Inclusive every day are snacks & meals provided by Wolfgang Pucks Team, supplies, morning yoga on a Helicopter Pad (when not in use by an actual helicopter), afternoon meditation, all activities, guest speakers, workshops and more.* 1-610-584-4283
