Our day camp activities include Horseback Riding, Games on Horseback, Horsemanship Grooming, saddling, Vaulting and more! Beginners are welcome! Horse day camp is for beginner riders as well as advanced riders. Lunch is included. What to wear: long pants, light color t-shirt and boots. We provide riding helmets. What to bring: Stretchable pants, sunscreen, swim socks, carrots (for the horses), snacks, drinks, and a bottle of water (frozen is best). Please put the camper?s names on all items. Honors Pre-Calculus - Hopkins Campus
This course is open to Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB after completing Honors Geometry; Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB; Students from outside Blake who seek to complete the equivalent of a full-year Honors Pre-Calculus course during the summer. They must possess a strong foundation in algebra because the course contains advanced material and moves at a rapid pace; it is not recommended for remedial purposes. Before registering, Blake students must obtain their teachers permission to advance, as indicated by a signed Mathematics Acceleration Contract. Successful advancement requires a grade of B or higher on each of the comprehensive exams given during the summer course. This course emphasizes functions and their characteristics. Topics include: function notation and transformations; combinations and compositions of functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; and analytical trigonometry. In addition, sequences, series, parametric equations and limits are introduced in preparation for calculus.
