Musical Improv - Pop Songs Level 1 - Eric Schackne - iO West
Musical improv may seem daunting. Well, imagine your very first few rounds of Hot Spot or Freeze Tag. Did you not die and it got easier? You eventually discover the timing and structure of new forms, which allows you to be more present, creative, and/or funny on stage. Once you learn the simplicity behind improvising a catchy pop song, you may even start to embrace that one team member who loves to break into song at some point every single show. This song workshop will bring you through main aspects of pop sensibility (Memorable Choruses, Supportive Verses, Bridges & Structure). Three weeks culminate in an improvised musical experience that has never been done before and will never be done again - save for your audience members humming your tunes on the way out of the theatre Sessions are led by Eric Schackne, iOwests Music Director and house accompanist. Eric has a breadth of experience spanning teaching/performing/studying improv comedy and songwriting/composing/producing, which provides him a progressive approach to the musical improv niche. The WCU Field Hockey Day Camp is designed for the development of the field hockey athlete from advanced level to beginners. All campers will have individual skill instruction with play-ers of similar ability and experience. Topics that will be covered: individual/group instruction, offensive/defensive strategies, specialized goal-keeper instruction, as well as competitive game experiences in a positive learning environment. EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, bath-ing suit, sunscreen, and a con-tainer of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the campers name. High School All Position Skills Football Camp - Sacred Heart Schools
Championship football is built on FUNdamentals. This non-contact full day camp will offer a practice atmosphere while focusing on fundamentals and overall football safety for athletes preparing to play either flag or contact football. In addition to a team practice setting, daily individual teaching is provided for athletes to focus on their positions of choice. Afternoons will be filled with competitive Flag Football games and other fun team building activities. The camp is under the direction of Mark Modeste - Assistant Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep.
