Food trucks food craze! During this week we will discuss food trucks food, decorate aprons, chefs, hats, and make a fun menu of food truck treats! Your chef will prepare and bake things like cupcake pancakes, corndog muffins, star spangled strawberries, homemade mini pizzas, and confetti cake in a jar! We will provide tickets and invite the other students to come and taste some of our fun menu creations. Join Coach George Mulry and his players at this high energy, skill packed camp. Players will learn the fundamentals and techniques that make the LHS program so successful. Drills and play will focus on the basic skills of volleyball including serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking, serve-receive and defense. Players of all levels and positions are encouraged to attend. Campers should pack a peanut free lunch and water bottle daily. Robots, Gagets, Gizmos - Winter - Adams Elementary
Held in Computer Lab. Through fun, hands-on and engaging science, engineering, and design technology, students learn how the world works, how buildings stand up, how machines move, and how people design, make and use technology. Projects are different for fall, winter and spring sessions and do not repeat. Using a wide assortment of curriculum materials, including KNEX, Keva Planks, Lego WeDo Robotics, Snap Circuits, and hands-on building projects, students construct machines; program robots, build gadgets, gizmos, structures and vehicles, and assemble electronics such as a radio or flying saucer. Through these integrated STEAM projects, students gain problem-solving skills; develop spatial awareness and a basic understanding of physics, gravity, electricity, energy, design, and robotics.
