Rainforest Adventure Camp - NEW! Your child has the chance to embark on a "Rainforest Adventure" this summer. Campers combine art and engineering skills to conceive and construct the four layers of the rainforest. Walking the "camouflage trail" campers learn the importance of animal adaptation and what can be done to help protect our fragile ecosystems. On the last day, campers will present forest facts and escort their parents on an exciting rainforest tour. Semester-long technique classes are designed to give beginning dancers an opportunity to learn foundational skills in ballet, tap and jazz dance. All students perform in demonstrations or recitals held in conjunction with CHAW-wide performance festivals at the end of each session. Bay Bounders (Week 10 PM) - Apex Animals - NESS
Animals within a food chain have some ultimate adaptations for hunting and survival. Learn about apex predators like orcas, sharks, giant squid, and osprey and find out some incredible strategies the prey of these predators utilize to avoid detection. Analyze the animals in the NESS touch tanks for interesting behaviors and dissect a shark. Includes: dissection, 1 boat trip, & snorkeling 860-535-9362

Projects will include some major clean-up work, such as clearing brush and building fire lines, fix-up jobs, wood cutting, simple construction and other needed repairs or improvements to camp facilities and grounds.
