Both of my daughters attended this camp two years in a row; then my oldest daughter went on to be a camp counselor for a summer before she went on to basic training. They are now 28 and 30 years old and they STILL talk about their camp experience!!

Get your green on as you explore how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is a part of everything around us. This program will give participants an integrated exposure to the various STEM fields and how they can be applied within an environmental context. Explorations will include the chemistry of recycling, creating power from worms, and energy transfer. The week will culminate in an environmental engineering project where students will use these real-world STEM concepts to create their own energy-efficient home. (630)9075950

Come learn the basics of sewing (and other fun hand crafts) and create projects to decorate your room. We will be making functional projects (think pillows and other stuffies) and fun projects (think wall art and banners and maybe even some doll clothes). We will work on hand sewing skills, hand craft skills and basic sewing machine skills. No experience is necessary and all supplies are included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Campers should bring a water bottle and snack each day. Film Makers Challenge Workshop - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
For students with previous film making experience. Take your film making to the next level with a series of fun challenges that will stretch your imagination. On site props and indoor/outdoor settings offer students a chance to show their stuff and work together in pairs, in teams, and as individuals to come up with creative solutions to the days challenge. PCAC Film Crew Instructor Jenn Teed and production assistants will start off each day with a technique demo and then guide film makers as they come up with unique digital films. Students should bring their own film recording device with memory card or cord to transfer film to instructors ipad. Contact if you will need equipment to use during workshop. Chess Wizards introduces students to the magical world of chess. Campers learn how to play and master chess techniques from our renowned Chess Wizards. They learn cool chess openings, midgame tactics (including forks, pins, discovered attacks and more) and endgames concepts. The camp caters to all levels of chess players, and participants are divided into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Wizards. All participants receive a Chess Wizards t-shirt and earn a trophy. Full-day campers receive a chess board their friends can autograph! This class is offered by Chess Wizards (chesswizards.com). Chess campers must bring their own peanut-free bag lunches and drinks.
