Join us for a fun-filled day experiencing an interactive storytelling adventure about the myth of King Midas! Each student will decorate a golden mask and participate in recreating the story. Students will also learn about Turkey and the cultural traditions of the land where King Midas once ruled. We will also explore the rich and colorful patterns of Turkish tiles, and each student will design and decorate their own tile to take home. A mid-morning snack will be served. Choice indoor and outdoor activities will be offered, as well as a walk to Taney Park, weather permitting. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. Camp - Summer Sprouts - Rockwood Nature Center
Nurture your childs fascination with the earths creatures. Summer Sprouts will spend the week discovering and learning about the animals that hop, swim, fl y, and crawl through the fields and forests of Rockwood Park. Drumline Camp 6th-7th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hake Develop your rhythm skills in this introductory week-long class to drumline. During our week together we will learn all the types of drums, increase our hand speed, learn about marching percussion, and more!
