Summer Recreation Camp - (Week 5) Week 5: Stratham Rec?s Got Talent Ready, set, action! We are excited for a fun week at camp filled with a variety of activities that will showcase our talents. We will be dancing, acting, and more! To celebrate the end of camp and share our many talents, we will hike to Stratham Hill Park for our annual camp talent show on Friday. All families are invited to attend! Each day is designed a little different to offer campers with daily choices, physical exercise, and craft activities to ignite creativity, social and group development, nature and each week includes three special activities/events. Thursday the campers will take a trip to a New Hampshire State Park and Friday has its own theme and is definitely going to be two days campers do not want to miss!Please have your child bring sunscreen, water bottles (at least 32 ozs.), 2 snacks and a lunch. A camp for kids that will teach them some survival skills in addition to fitness, character building, team work and problem solving skills. Oh yeah, we will have some fun as well. Fantasy Creatures - Artists Exchange
Bring the creatures from your imagination to life! Create original fantasy creatures and the environments they come from. Students will sculpt, shape, and form their creations using a variety of mediums, such as clay, metal, and pipe cleaners. No experience necessary. 401-490-9475
Arts Camp #2 - Camelback Bible Church
We believe our Creator wants us to be joyfully creative! The primary goals of this camp are to encourage, nurture, and nourish each childs creative spirit. Daily Activities: In the mornings of each camp day, students will receive training in music and art. In each daily session they will learn something new that will build from the previous day. While in music class, students can explore keyboard, guitar, dance, and voice. Students will learn new concepts in music theory, use rhythm instruments, and participate in creative composition to begin the process of making music. In art class, students will experience textures, work with lighting and shading, and learn level of color. Arts students develop their fine motor skills. Each artist will create renderings that they will take home for years of enjoyment. Dance class is designed to introduce your child to the beginning movements of ballet, jazz and hip hop to inspire their interest in the creative beauty of dance. Students should be sure to wear comfortable clothing that doesnt restrict movement. Students will take a break between the morning and afternoon sessions and should bring their own sack lunch. Pattern-Making Fundamentals - Manhattan - Esaie Couture Design School
Learn how to draft sewing patterns with flat pattern-making techniques. This course will give you all the basic skills you need to learn how to read and understand patterns and how to create your own pattern styles, using your own measurements to create a custom fit. Students will also learn about how to do simple alterations and changes to this basic pattern, aka the sloper (the fashion term for your basic pattern block). This is a great class for those with no skills in pattern-making or for those who sew and might have made clothes but with no technical training. This four-week course gives you a foundation and pattern-making understanding that you will be able to use once you have completed the course. 347-295-0022
