Parents, need more time to prepare for Santa's arrival? December 12th from 1-6 p.m. the AHS Drama Department will be hosting a day for kids filled with games, snacks, crafts, and more! Graham Regional Theatre is excited to hold their first ever summer camp for aspiring actors! Classes and rehearsals will be at The Perry (521 Elm Street) where we will work on singing, dancing, and staging for our musical, Seussical, Jr.! All roles will be played by campers ages 18 and under. Included in the cost of camp is: Theatre, vocal, and movement instruction by theatre professionals and GRT veteran performers. Camp t-shirt Script for Seussical, Jr. Costuming for Seussical, Jr. 2 comp tickets for either performance Ages: Completed 2nd - 12th grades Camp Dates: June 13 - 17, 2016 Auditions: Sunday, June 5, 2016 @ 2 pm - Any camper interested in a leading role should come prepared to sing 16 bars of a musical theatre song. Winter Teen Retreat 2017! - Naches, WA
There are many things we have to survive in this world. Failures, conflicts, temptations, the list goes on. Though surviving the pressures and conflicts in our lives can be a tough and painful process, we can take comfort in the fact that like a piece of coal, we are being turned into precious diamonds for God's purpose. And in a culture that increasingly pushes Christians to the outskirts, it can be like being stranded on an island. But since the begining us Christians have been called to be set apart, "in the world but not of the world", and we know that through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, that we can more than just meely survive, but we can strive! Join us this year in taking a stand on the principles and truths that the Word of God gives us, stepping up to live out our calling and purpose and learning how to transition from being Survivors to becomeing more than conquerors!! Grades 3-8 A week of advanced training for more experienced players, this camp will improve agility, balance and coordination through a series of individual ball mastery exercises. Highly-qualified British coaches will emphasize skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual and small-group practice and games. Players will learn and practice ways to turn, fake and beat opponents as well as master lifts and balances to improve their touch, control and confidence with the ball. We brought back our popular camp for preteens and teens that was so much fun last year. From Whose Line Is It Anyway to Saturday Night Live to Second City, improvisation is a form of acting that is script-less, spontaneous, and lots of good fun. Use your imagination and creativity, and develop some very interesting and entertaining characters using tried and true improv games.
