Session #6 – “Farm Trackers Camp” - July 18-21, Ages 6-12 Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 2 pm Join us on the farm tracking BIG ANIMALS – Farmer Larry will teach you all about how to track animals on the farm. Go on daily nature hikes to track our "big" farm animals. . Learn how animals help make our work easier - which animals dig our garden and which help clear the land. Daily crafts include making your own "Animal Track" necklace to wear and take home, making and decorating your own Trail Camp walking stick to hike the trail. Not to mention our nature SCAVENGER HUNT! Each day will include visits with all our animals as an assistant farm tracker, running and playing in the big pasture, daily take home crafts, and visits to the Fern Valley Farm kitchen for exciting kid friendly creations. Walk in the footsteps of a farmer for a week, and experience what it takes to be a good farmer and naturalust. Through a variety of activites, campers will learn about animal care and the products animals provide us. * Adopt a lamb or kid and learn how to care for it, and teach it to walk with you on a halter * Discover the ways of the farm through daily scavenger hunts 860-535-8171

Combining craft with technology is a fun way to express interests and personality and the possibilities are endless. Through this camp, participants will sew with conductive thread and use LED lights to create a functioning piece of technology! Our middle school program focuses on the essentials of rowing in the stable training barge and then both sculling (rowing with two oars each) and sweep rowing (rowing with one oar each). The athletes row in the training barge, coxed quads, eight-person boats, and they learn valuable skills such as teamwork, fitness conditioning, and safety on the water.
