LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Weekly High School Pitching Camp 2 - Kennesaw State University (Stillwell Stadium)
The Owls Baseball Camp Staff is happy to announce a weekly pitching camp this Fall/Winter. This camp will be ran exclusively by Assistant Coach Trey Fowler and is open to any high school age player looking to take his Pitching to the next level. The 4 week program will be structured to ensure that each player learns more about the most important aspects of pitching including visual focus, mechanical efficiency, and how to attack/read hitters. A throwing program will be implemented to increase arm speed and strength along with drills for efficiency, bullpens, and video analysis to ensure that each player exits the 4 week program a better and more confident pitcher. All sessions will be limited to a max of 4 players in order to assure each receives the individual attention and reps to reach the goals of the program. The Dates for the Camp include Sept 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th. Week 3: Entrepreneurship & Golf - ACE Conference Center
Girls are incredible with coming up with ideas. This week, they are taught how to take their ideas to the next level. What are operations and what does Math have to do with an idea? They will definitely be able to answer those questions. Girls will use their ideas to solve problems and their skills to resolve challenges. No business deal would be complete without a golfing experience. Golf lessons with a PRO & clubs are a part of the week. Due to the expense of this week, there wont be a make up day for Monday,the 4th of July. Girls will be divided into 2 groups: 7-9 & 10-13. Our capacity is 10 girls per group to ensure an enriching and impactful experience. * Inclusive every day are snacks & meals provided by Wolfgang Pucks Team, supplies, morning yoga on a Helicopter Pad (when not in use by an actual helicopter), afternoon meditation, all activities, guest speakers, workshops and more.* 1-610-584-4283
Camp Shalom LIT - Session IIB - JCC Campus
The Camp Shalom LIT Program (formerly counselor in training) has been redesigned to allow teens a multifaceted experience. The program contains three core components: leadership training, hands-on counselor skills guidance, and fun, social programming. Each two-week session will provide teens the opportunity to experience every facet of working at a summer camp from interacting directly with campers to shadowing activity specialists. Under the supervision of the LIT Assistant Director, LITs will meet as a group regularly to attend workshops specially planned for them. Each LIT will have the opportunity to become CPR and First Aid Certified. Upon successful completion of the LIT Program, participants will receive a minimum of 45 community service hours and are eligible for a higher rate of pay as Assistant Counselors at Camp Shalom. 512-735-8100

Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it together into one fun-filled camp. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This co-ed program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player. Our volleyball staff will assist each athlete in developing fundamental skills through game-speed drills, daily scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. Home School Comes Alive with Shakespeare - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
For the Shakespeare buff or novice this is a fun yet educational program as we make history come alive through performance of a Shakespeare classic. This year we are adding a new dimension in that we will take one of his classic tragedy plays and add a humorous twist. While the play will keep with the essence of the original storyline and characters, students will find this play highly entertaining to perform. This truly unique course is especially designed for the home-¬schooled that incorporates history, literature, and performance. History comes alive as students create and act out their interpretation of imaginary and real characters during Shakespeares time. Students will also learn performance skills as they practice techniques for stage acting along with the wonderful experience of performing an adaptation of one of Shakespeares classic plays. Plays under consideration are Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet with a twist. A fully staged performance will be presented for family and friends at the conclusion of this course.
