Kid's Music Camp: Oh, Jonah! - Hampton, VA
Oh Jonah!: Music Camp 2016 Monday – Friday, August 8-14, 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Oh, Jonah Practice & Activities 12 – 12:30 p.m. Lunch Bunch 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Field Trip Camp Cost: $20 (includes CD, t-shirt, snacks). This year, we would like to extend our day to 3:00 p.m. to include afternoon activities such as service, swimming, bowling, skating, etc. In order to add the component, we need willing adults to chaperone the afternoon outings. Youth and Young Adult Leadership Conference Sponsored by the North American Division of SDA, the North Pacific Union and the Washington Conference, this conference is designed for pastors, church elders, local youth and young adult leaders and anyone passionate about developing next generation leaders for Jesus. Over two and half days we will bring together some of the leading experts in youth and young adult ministry to give you inspiration and practical tools to transform your ministry to this emerging generation. The conference will center on four foundational practices of ministry: Lead, Learn, Listen and Love. For those who are unable to attend the entire conference, a Sunday-only option is available. Teen Community Emergency Response Team Camp - Peachtree City, GA
The Peachtree City Police Department will be hosting a Teen Community Emergency Response Team (TEEN CERT) camp beginning June 13th, 2016. The classes will be held Monday through Friday of that week ending on June 17th. The classes will start at 0800 and end at 1230 each day. The camp will be held in the training room at the Police Station. The TEEN CERT Program educates young adults about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Prospective candidates must be between 13 and 17 years of age at the time of registration and a resident of Georgia. Applicants will be required to complete an enrollment form and applicable waivers. The application and waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. A local check will be conducted to determine the background of the participants as a pre-condition to acceptance into the program. Chef Travis Levi (a survivor himself) will be leading the teens through everything from the importance of kitchen etiquette to making healthy choices. There are few things more pleasurable about fall than giving in to every whim to bake and cook. Who: Any young adult between the ages of 13-18yrs who has been diagnosed with cancer. 3-year olds (who are toilet trained) to children entering Kindergarten may enroll for 5, 3 OR 2 half days of preschool. A small class size of 8 students to 1 early childhood certified teacher enhances learning. The groundwork for early language, math and science skills is formed utilizing multi-sensory, child-centered activities. A unique phonics-based teaching system brings the alphabet to life, as it lays the foundation for reading. Each session is 4 weeks long - 5 day option: Monday-Friday - 3 day option: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 2 day option: Tuesday, Thursday *Please consider sending your 4 or 5 year olds to our PreK kindergarten readiness Camps (see "2016 Summer Themed Camps" and look for PreK camps).
