Spring Body Checking (Walpole) Ages 11-14 - Rodman Arena
May 2,9,16,23,30 -- June 6. Intro to body checking is a 6-week camp focused on: All Key Elements of Power Skating Intro to Body Checking Safe and Strong Body Positioning Puck Possession Its vital that young hockey players are fully prepared when entering the age levels where body checking and increased body contact are legal. Size and strength play a limited role if players are properly trained on body position, angles, correct posture, etc. Power skating will be the focus of the first 30 minutes -- then the players will be split by level. Pee Wee will focus on body position and puck protection. Bantam will focus on body checking and hitting. Your young hockey player will be ready for the next level after this camp. 617-710-8129

Create a lake in a bottle, jump in to the science of sports, and let your nose be your guide on a trail of scents. A week of hands-on experiments will increase your understanding of our good ship Earth. Learn how animals are camouflaged and go on the hunt for scents and tracks as you take a walk on the wild side of science. Dissect owl pellets and build a strong structure to crawl inside. We will look at it all from nature to pollution to sports to animals.
