LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Junior Day Camp - Camp Waubanong
Our Junior Camp program is for children ages 7-11 who wish to attend camp, but are not sure whether or not they feel ready to stay overnight. Junior Campers will arrive with day campers on the first Monday morning of the session, and should bring supplies to set up their own bunk (sleeping bag, toothbrush, a few changes of clothes, swim gear, towels), whether or not they will stay the night. Junior Campers will follow the same daily schedule as the Traditional Overnight Camp, with the exception that they will have a block of time following afternoon snack to decide whether or not they would like to stay the night, and time to communicate with their families or guardians about their decision. Families are charged on a per-night basis, so campers are welcome to stay as many or as few nights as they would like. These campers will have a bunk set up in a regular cabin group, so that the transition is seamless for them, should they decide to stay over. Girls in STEM Feb. Build-A-Thon - Keystone Science School Campus
February: Build-A-Thon At Keystone Science School, STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) is an integral part of every experience. The Girls in STEM program dives even deeper by exploring not only the STEM concepts in an empowering girls-only environment, but also highlighting real women currently working in STEM careers. This program builds leadership and collaboration between the girls involved as they engage in fun, hands-on activities that impart new skills and confidence in science, tech, engineering, and math - areas in which girls are inclined to be wallflowers. A key element of the program is a teaching technique called positive growth feedback in which "failure" is viewed as a necessary and even welcome step on the path to success. Research has shown that girls are especially receptive to this teaching technique and the scientific method is the ideal process for applying this technique to valuable learning. Chris Dudley Basketball outdoor camp accepts boys and girls between the ages of 10 through 17 who have an interest in basketball and also have type 1 diabetes. We have 45 staff members to oversee our campers diabetes needs and basketball skills to help them strive toward achieving their dreams and goals. Our staff consists of two endocrinologists, day and night nurses, a trained dietitian, sixteen day/night counselors, eleven coaches and other important staff to oversee camp. Because we are limiting the camp to 75 participants, campers will receive a lot of individual attention to improve their game, achieve their goals and teach them how to manage their diabetes while playing an intensive sport. 5033490073.0

We will explore the many stages of everyday lives through fashion illustrations, beginning with the basic fashion figures (croquis) and color, using multiple mediums, including prints, fabric and textiles, students will imagine how they would dress for current and future life events, and also gain an understanding of the fashion industry, as well as the impact of technology on fashion. Through class discussions, books, films, and documentaries, students will gain a greater understanding of the fashion world and illustration as a form of self expression.
