These classes will focus on improving players game, specifically focusing on skills such as footwork, strategy, spins, feel and match play. Players will be divided up by skill level and previous experience. Athletes may come to more than one session. Big Kid on Campus
Do you know or have kids that have in some way been affected by cancer, whether that means they have battled it themselves or have loved ones that have? Would they enjoy spending a day at Georgia Tech with college students? Then bring them on out to Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship for Big Kid on Campus, a Saturday full of fun! We are hosting a day full of fun entertainment and activities including games, crafts, makeovers, kickball with the Georgia Tech Softball team, and even an appearance by Santa! If you are interested in volunteering to make this happen and spend the day with these wonderful kiddos, you are also welcome! Mother-Daughter Weekend Retreat - Dahlonega, GA
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is offering a Mother-Daughter Retreat for older teens, young adults, moms, and grandmothers (even in-laws). Sail Camp - Level I - Junior - Greater Richmond Sailing Association
Learn seamanship and the fundamentals of sailing small sailboats for beginner students. Topics include parts of the sailboat, sailing terminology, sail trim, safety and steering. Students will work together to rig, operate and stow single-handed and double-handed sailboats based on their age, weight and experience. In October we will resume our homeschool series by following the changing seasons and further developing our our naturalist skills. Together well seek to develop an understanding of the unique ecology of this landscape while also deepening our connection to nature, ourselves and each other. This class is held entirely outdoors in wilderness conditions (no bathrooms or permanent structure for shelter) in all but extreme weather conditions. Well stay warm by keeping active, ducking out of the wind, soaking up the sun, and treating ourselves to snacks by occasional small campfires.
