Charly Cardboard Mini Camp - Gallatin, TN
School is out and Charly Cardboard is coming! This class will give the vision and skills to get students to begin the creative process of using something as simple as leftover cardboard into something artistic and maybe even practical. In two days - 4 hours per day - students will get hands on instruction and come out with a completed project like the one below. Lot's of fun. Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens. As always there will be fun games, good food, and time with friends. Complete the retreat form found on WPC website youth page and turn it in to my mailbox with a check for $50 by 1/8. Summer Camp Week 1 - Ages 4-12 - First Free Church
CAMP DETAILS Musical Theater Week Thank you for the music! In this camp, students will have fun exploring their own personal voices through songs and dances from various musicals! In addition to drama and improv games that foster theater skills in creativity, self-expression and teamwork, campers will create their own show that incorporates songs from their favorite musicals. Throughout the week we will also work together to create prop, costume and set pieces to use in our culminating original show that highlights our collaborative efforts! Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Moving Stories Week In this camp, we will explore a variety of childrens literature through story dramatization. Students will play drama games, sing songs, create puppets, write their own poems inspired by books and act out their favorite stories. This week is open to experienced kayakers and anglers who are ready to take their skills to the next level! Some of last years catches included porgies, snapper blues, pilot fish, trigger fish and even a remora! You never know exactly what will happen in this exciting class where we get to explore more closely some of the best inshore fishing spots. We will be teaching the basics of fishing from a kayak, tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. We practice catch and release only.
