Summer Camp Volunteer Informational Session - Tulsa, OK
New Hope serves children and youth of Oklahoma ages 5-18 who have an incarcerated parent. Our summer camps offer unique opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive enviornment. Our camps depend upon our volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help us prepare for camp, at camp, in-between camps, and after camp. There is a role and opportunity for everyone! Literacy (M/W) - Office of Children, Youth & Learning
Children learn literacy skills through songs, poems, literacy centers, small and whole group activities, and read-alouds. Children engage in play and activities that are related to alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, print knowledge, comprehension, reading and writing. The core of our literacy program was created at the Bank Street College of Education in New York. Meets twice per week. Vacation days are available from 9-4pm. When the kids do not have school, but the parents need to work or have errands to run, Village Sports will offer a fun, busy day for the kids.
