LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Camp 2016 Session 1 - FCC
From the first day to the last campers will choose an instrument, form a band and write an original song to perform for their friends, families and the rock camp community. Each day campers will have instrument instruction, band practice and attend a series of informational, interactive and meaningful workshops. Summer Camp is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an end-of-session showcase on the following weekend. All campers should bring a lunch, but no instruments are necessary — we provide all the gear! Ralph Gross Memorial Baseball Camp - Nashville, AR (Scrapper Dome)
The Ralph Gross Memorial Baseball Camp will be held on Saturday, March 5th at the Scrapper Dome in Nashville (AR). The Camp will be held from 9 am - 12 noon for ages 8-15 years of age inside the Scrapper Dome. Participants will get to hear instruction on all phases of the games from hitting, fielding, pitching and running from a instructor/staff that has been involved in professional baseball on all levels. Since 1989, PRO-DAY Baseball has been teaching young players the finer points of the game, have sent hundreds of players into professional baseball, along with hundreds and hundreds of others have went on to receive baseball scholarships to colleges/universities across the country. Players need to register in advance, the camp is "Limited". Proceeds will benefit the Ralph Gross Memorial Scholarship, which is given to a high school senior each year that plans to go off to college to play baseball and continue their education at Nashville High. 888-224-6150

Farm Hands Camp is one of our most popular programs all year and we know why. Whether it is mucking out the stalls, collecting eggs, working in the garden or learning how to halter a sheep, there is never a dull moment on the farm! Although activities can vary depending on the day and age of the participants, we always try to instill the message that we are responsible for our own health, the health of our animals and for the care of this special place. Each day your child can expect to participate in chores in both the barnyard and garden. Of course, no Farm Hands experience would be complete without making new friends, games and nibbling fresh veggies fresh from the garden. We offer two types of programs. First, we have age specific programs. These sessions are a good fit for children that have attended camp year in and year out and like to have different age appropriate themes that build each year. The Amp Camp, led by SCDS Middle School Learning Specialist, Mr. Benjamin Ford, will help set your child up for success. During Amp Camp 6th, 7th, and 8th grade campers will learn how to implement specialized study strategies to help them be more confident and better prepared for middle school. Each student will gain insight on how to be more organized and thoughtful about their study habits while also getting a jump start on the best way to engage challenging concepts and content. Amp Camp is a great way to help students prepare for their re-entry to school. Amp Camp is open to SCDS and non-SCDS students.
