Spark those curious minds and imaginations this summer at the Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe!) cMoe camps offer quality experiences and are led by certified teachers. In addition to the weekly themed activities, campers have daily exploration time in our museum. All full-day camps are available to children entering 1st-7th grade for the 2016-2017 school year. Full-day camps begin at 9am and end at 4pm with the option of extended care for only $25 per week. For cMoe members, camp is $135.00 per week! Non-members are $150.00 per week. Campers in grades 5-12 with all skill levels are welcomed to join the ASU hitting coaches and players as the program hosts weekly hitting camps. Dates camps will be held; 2/24 and 3/9 from 5:30-6:30. The 2015 Sun Devil Softball Hitting Camps are designed to develop softball hitting skills! This camp features hitting drills and instruction with campers offering the opportunity to take part in hitting rotations and instruction. Campers may be divided into groups by age. Each camper will receive 1 hour of instruction each night the camper attends. Meals will not be provided, so campers should pack adequate snacks and drinks. A break will be scheduled for hydration and nutrition. Camp is open to any and all campers that meet the grade requirements. Rock Band Camp @ SMCC - San Marcos Community Center
Students will learn how to play basic drum, guitar, bass and piano riffs to various lyric-appropriate (parent-approved) rock/pop songs of their choice. Classes will include ear training, learning to read music notation, instrumental techniques, viewing music video clips for inspiration, and more! No experience necessary, but welcomed! Instruments will be provided to share, but bring any that you have from home. Time will be allotted each day for a snack and water break. A short performance will take place on Friday at the end of class from 11:40-Noon where students will have the opportunity to sing and/or play different instruments for the songs we have been developing throughout the week. 20% sibling discount. Welcome to Hogwarts Americana-the American extension of Hogwarts. Campers will be immersed in the fictional world of Harry Potter. They will start off by being sorted into one of four houses-Paladorn, Grizelstorm, Embredor or Firesong. During this magical week, students will experience Potion Making, Charms, Muggle Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Quidditch and plenty of games that will give them chances to earn points for their houses.
