I have been invited to be the Lead Speaker at this Year’s Youth Leadership Camp being held by The Christ United Methodist Church and Mississippi Families for Kids on the June 27, 2016 starting at 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. I am so honored that I have have been asked and I look forward to Empowering our Leaders of Tomorrow with the Encouraging of Words of God. In addition, to utilizing my life experiences, professional knowledge and expertise to inform participants of what is necessary to achieve their goals and how to become successful adults. It is my desire that youth will be able to reach inside of themselves to identify those strengths that will be the driving forces for their futures. So, on June 27, 2016 come out and help us..... Mixup 7/5 - 7/8 - Rockridge BART - (base of the escalators)
This is our Mixup week. This week we will be moving around the Bay Area taking daily field trips while using public transportation to navigate our way. The week will be comprised of the schedule below*. July 3 camp not included unless added with purchase session option. Day 1: July 4th observed on this day - Camp Day will not be run Day 2: TBD Day 3: TBD Day 4: TBD Day 5: TBD (Days may not be in the specific order above) We meet at Rockridge BART station every morning at 8 AM then travel the city to our destination or destinations. We return to Rockridge BART at 4PM for pickup or post camp day care. *Note: UAC will follow the schedule posted unless issues arise, in which case we will make any and all substitutions equal to the current schedule. 510-339-0676
Drama Advanced Placement 7:25 PM Monday - New Childrens Theatre of Cincinnati
Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. The last class of the session will be a performance class. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend. Allendale Camp Group A 1st week Jun 27 - Jul 1 - Allendale Park
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Allendale Park Camp is a traditional, high-quality, fun program. Campers spend at least two hours daily doing physical fitness activities like dance routines, group games, fitness competitions, sports and swimming. Specialized instruction is offered in tennis and golf. Campers are escorted across the street to Blairs pool for recreational swim three times per week. Staff go into the water with campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Field trips are often the highlight of the week. Past excursions include trips to area amusement parks, local movie theaters and arcades. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like socializing, sports and play. Ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Lunch and a snack are included. Campers are grouped by age and are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes, sunscreen and hats. Sandals for the pool area and swimming suits are required. Camp is based out of Allendale Park and the park, onsite library and the Blair pool. The Jr. Scientist Camp covers a broad range of fun and exciting science topics such as: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Lab Process Skills. Activities and experiments explore different branches of science including entomology, oceanography, paleontology, and rocketry. This camp is perfect for the child who has a general interest in science and wants an exciting "sampler" camp! Campers learn all about the Scientific Method, how to observe and document changes with their experiments day to day, how to measure, and more! Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well! Please pack a peanut-free snack bag lunch and refreshment for your child. Use the tools at hand to write a message to send in a bottle. Be careful - you may witness a volcanic eruption! Work together to design a means to escape the island and come home.
