Pirate Day Camp for kids - Portland, OR
Kids day camp for Juy 11th, to July 15th, 2016 Ages first grade through age12. Camp runs Monday through Monday – to Fri - 9:30am to 3:30pm Before and after care are available for an additional fee - see details below. Camp must be pre-registered. There are no refunds however arrangements can be made to transfer registration to a different child. Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the 18th and 19th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time of pirates and privateers. Learn the skills of sabre and cutlass Learn about European History and sailing culture Play pirate games Craft Projects and learn to tie knots learn sea shanties Camp takes place at our facility in West Portland. Children will train with lightweight sword simulators and safety gear. They will have the opportunity to handle steel replicas of the real thing. Thanksgiving Kids Camp - Gonzales, LA
Two day speed and strength camp for athletes 8-13. This two-day camp will be from 8am-11am on Monday and Tuesday. Kids will gain knowledge and participate in Olympic Weightlifting, Strength Training, and Speed Training. Cost is $120 for both days or $75 for one day. Spots are limited to 30 total athletes to ensure one on one instruction from the coaches. The coaches are CrossFit L-1 trainers, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Certified, a Division I All-America athlete and Division I Collegiate Coach

Week 5 AM - Fishing - NESS
Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 860-535-9362

KidSport Afternoon: Tennis & Golf, 6/27 - 7/1 - Scarlett Middle School
[] KidSport Afternoon: Tennis and Golf Each week features a different sport teaching basic fundamentals skills, rules, team building and sportsmanship and open swimming time. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Campers bring snacks and water. Afternoons, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Drop-off. Staff will pick-up your camper from your car at 1:00 PM and bring your camper to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids!
