Growing Scientists: Nature Detectives - CuriOdyssey
Look through lenses, peek at a plant, or construct creations inspired by nature. Follow your nose through our garden, touch a tortoise, and search outdoors for clues to natures design. This camp encourages young scientists to explore the world using all five senses. Well explore nature through safe and exciting investigations of sound, light, texture, taste, and smell. Campers are sure to enjoy getting their hands dirty as they discover the sparkly, gooey, and stinky sides of science! Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. Animation Workshop Morning Session - Visual Art Institute
Experience an immersive two week animation workshop with artist Nathan Ratcliffe, a video game developer and creator and VAI alumni. This workshop will allow students to learn the complex, intensive, and rewarding process of creating a short animated film as a team. This is an amazing opportunity for teenage students to not only improve their concept of motion, but to learn technical and real-world skills. Camp will focus on technical and tactical development of each player including dribbling, passing & receiving, finishing, and defending. Coaches will use individual and small group activities, small-sided games, and world-cup style tournaments throughout the week to help each player enhance their skills. Players will be grouped by age and skill and will learn from experienced, licensed Illinois FC staff coaches. All players receive a free Illinois FC T-shirt.
