Begin planning now to send them to the PNW Foursquare Camp at Cedar Springs Camp in Lake Stevens, Washington happening July 25-29, 2016. Did you know a camper is exposed to more of what the gospel is about in one week at camp than regular church attendance for a whole year. At summer camp 2015, there were 45 first time salvations, 108 re-dedications,87 Holy Spirit baptisms, 29 physical healings, 23 calls to full-time ministry and 72 commitments to discipleship! The impact of camp for campers is eternal! They meet with the God who created them and loves them. There will be 3 fundraisers to help cover the cost of camp. It is possible that through your child's fundraising efforts, they can raise enough to pay for camp in full (approx. $230).
Teen Empowerment & Survival Camp Summer 2016 - Tucson, AZ
This camp is designed specifically with teenagers’ safety and well-being in mind. As parents, we want our teenagers to be safe, but we also want them to grow up feeling comfortable with themselves, having a healthy self-esteem and self-image. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assess and deal with both physically and psychologically threatening situations. Safety at school cannot be overstressed. Since this where our teenagers spend a large majority of their day regularly, the probability of their being exposed to, or involved in, dangerous or unhealthy situations is extremely high. Whether it’s an outside threat that poses a danger to the entire school, or a fellow student whose words and actions are psychologically damaging to an individual, our teenagers should know how to assess and act before, during, and after an event. Youth Ski Trip - Freedom, NH
Youth Ski Trip: for our 7th-12th grade students from Friday February 10th to Sunday February 12th we will be at Camp Calumet in West Ossipee, New Hampshire for a wonderful and blessed weekend of skiing and being in fellowship with one another. Make sure to sign up and get your forms located on the Sunday School Bulletin Board (they will be posted in January 2017). Make sure to come to the Parent & Youth meeting on February 5th before church at 8:30am to go over payments, fill out paperwork and go over the schedule for the Youth Ski Trip. Cost is $130.00 per person this year and if you are in need of rentals or lessons, it will be an additional $20.00 each (they are really $30.00 each, but Northside picks up the other $10.00 per lesson or/and rental for each person). Please make sure to attend our Brunch Fundraiser on February 5th after church to raise funds for travel and for our chaperones. If you are unable to go to the Fundraiser, you will need to pay an additional $25.00.

ADV Robotic w/ LEGO EV3 - Faith Lutheran Church
Using LEGOs New EV3 Space challenge Set and Activity Pack, campers are introduced to robotics with a very current and real-world theme-traveling and living on Mars! Campers will work as scientists and engineers as they progress though a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Campers will learn the basics of gears to help them apply physical science and math principles to build effective robots. They will also progress through a series of missions in which they investigate, observe, calculate, and apply their knowledge to solve specific tasks. Our space engineers will conduct research as they explore, plan, and develop three fundamental challenges NASA engineers and scientists are working to solve-how to endure humans can survive in space, how humans can create energy in space, and how robots can help humans explore space. 713-589-8958

Debbie Gantt, Performing Arts Director at Brookwood School, returns! Joined by her son, Dan Gantt, they will direct and produce a high quality musical theater production. Campers will enjoy both individually tailored and group lessons in voice, acting, and dance. At the end of the week, students will perform a musical revue of previously performed Brookwood 8th grade plays. Students will repurpose costumes, sets, and scores.
