Fly Fishing - The Evergreen School
Fly fishing is a sport that teaches patience, improves motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for nature. No one can walk away from losing a five minute battle with a stubborn trout without a deep respect for the fish! Students will learn the basics of fly fishing – setting up their rod and reel, knot typing, basic overhead casting, selecting the right fly, etc. Discussion will also include the history of fly fishing, how its different from other kinds of fishing, and entomology. 2016 Stanford Synchro Swim Camp - Day - Stanford Athletics
Stanford Synchro Swim Camp will allow coaches the opportunity to work with and observe Olympic medalists, National Team coaches and coaches of the Stanford University Synchronized Swim Team. During this camp, athletes will focus on and learn the importance of injury prevention based land training, sport-specific muscle strengthening, and translation of these elements into the water. This class is for those sailors who want to go blasting around with other know how to sailors in these fun and fast boats. The Open Bic is a fast easy to rig boat that looks and feels completely different than the Opti.
