Discover skills of the ancient scout, nearly lost to history, if it weren’t for a handful of people who kept these practices alive. We’re a staff who has studied under scouts only once removed from the likes of Baden-Powell and Geronimo. A scout must live in honor, balance and harmony with the earth in order to blend with nature and move over any terrain like a shadow. There’s also an aspect of martial arts in this camp, using tricks of mind-over-matter to help us accomplish feats that seem impossible. Put your school holiday days to work! Join us on Veteran’s Day, November 11, for a service day in the local Seattle community. Pack a lunch, snacks and water to stay energized for our project. Friday morning will be spent at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetland. We will be helping to restore the wetland habitat by removing invasive weeds, spreading mulch, and planting native trees and shrubs! $15 fee to participate includes staff supervision and transportation to service projects.

Got a kid who loves to move? This is the camp for you! Creative Movement is an exploratory camp that encourages students to be curious about all the wonderful ways their body can move. Each day of camp has a theme that dancers will explore through story, movement, music, props, crafts & games, allowing them to express themselves while learning movement vocabulary, strengthening coordination, gross and fine motor skills, and focus.
