Sewing camp is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill that will last a lifetime! In this sewing camp, your child will learn a variety of hand-machine-sewing skills. They will learn to comfortably use the sewing machine and practice basic sewing stitches. We will make projects such as pillows, iPod holders, tote bags, aprons, draw string bags, book covers, water bottle holders and more. As a final project, campers will learn the art of quilting. In this poetry workshop, students will express themselves in both written and performance modes to explore the issues that are most important to them. Award-winning spoken word and published poets will help students express their authentic voices on both the page and the stage in an end-of-camp reading for family and friends. In addition to these projects, campers will be learning how to solder with our blinky robot project.
