Science Quest Summer Inclusion Camp 2016 - Hammond, IN
Science Quest: Summer Inclusion Camp 2016 We have partnered with the Challenger Learning Center of NWI to offer three Tuesday camp experiences on June 14th, 21st and 28th for all kids, teens and adults with varying abilities. Siblings, friends and neighbors are welcome! Age Groups: Students entering kindergarten-age 10 will meet from 9-11:30am Students ages 11-adult will meet from 12:30pm-2:00pm Tuesday Classes: June 14th: Astronomy June 21st: Animals and Bugs June 28th: Magnets and Electricity There is a 20 person limit per class! The cost is $10 per child which includes all three sessions. Parents are required to stay with the younger group. Buddies will be available to give our groups extra help. 420 Intermediate Session 1 - 15 Tucks Point Rd., Manchester
The 420 Intermediate class is designed for sailors who have mastered the basics and want to enhance their sailing skills in a double-handed boat. Successful completion of two sessions of the 420 Beginner class, Opti Advanced, Opti Race Team, or a sailor who can demonstrate similar skills is required. There will be both chalkboard (pre and post sailing) and on-the-water instruction with a focus on fun while learning. Students will learn boat handling, sail trim and introductory spinnaker skills. This class has a hands on learn-to-sail focus. When complete, sailors will be able set, fly, and douse a spinnaker, demonstrate skipper/crew communication and teamwork, sail a 420 upwind, downwind, and do so with independence and confidence. This class is best for 12 – 18 year olds who are seeking to become proficient at two-person performance dinghy sailing. This is a great step towards either racing, or a recreational oriented mastery of sailing. 978-526-8345
