Weekly Theme: Circus Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. Through the Vocal Performance Workshop, students will: learn foundational vocal technique, as well as techniques used in different musical styles; shape and strengthen their vocal instrument with breathing and singing exercises; explore performance practices of interpretation, connection with the audience, stage movement, and microphone use; understand how to care and use their voice in healthy ways.
