LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 2016 Survival Day Camp - Botetourt County Recreation Department
This day camp will take adventure, competition and teamwork to fun heights as we play and do creative activities to see who will take the Survivor prize. Come as an individual or bring your friends to this outrageously fun day camp. We will do survivor games and activities in the mornings and enjoy the cool water of Lake Eagle in the afternoon. Lunch provided each day with kid friendly foods. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Participants will need to bring a towel, bathing suit, sunscreen and waterbottle for the day. Lunch will be provided but if a child has an allergy to some foods, you will need to pack their lunch. Children will be dropped off at Camp Eagle at 9am and will need to be picked up at 4pm each day. There will be two waivers that must be signed. LOCATION Camp Eagle, Fincastle, VA

Advanced Kid's Horse Camp - Hereford, AZ
This camp is going to be specifically designed for our regular riders and our returning camp attendees. We will be honing skills in horse direction and control with speed and obstacles, as well as reviewing all horse care and horse anatomy. This camp is for ages 5-14 and is Tuesday through Friday 8a-12pm with a demonstration and barbeque on Friday for family to attend and see what they learned.

Masjid al-Noor Youth Camp is an exciting opportunity to spend time building brotherhood/sisterhood while enjoying recreational activities, and spending time with Shaykh Noman Hussain. The camp will be open for youth between the ages of 12-18. If there are any children that would like to attend under the age of 12, they will be allowed attendance ONLY IF A PARENT/GUARDIAN attends as their chaperone. Brothers and sisters will be in separate accommodations in the same campsite under the supervision of adult male and female camp counselors. DATES: Monday, August 22, 2016 to Wednesday, August 24, 2016. A combination of Nature, Science, History and FUN. Explorers Camp takes full advantage of the 72 acres of woodland and paths that surround the Rockwood Museum. Mother Nature provides and ever-changing tableau for campers to hike and explore. Pan for gold in the creek and discover the ecosystem of the pond. The Victorian mansion is the perfect setting to absorb the evolution of the Industrial Age. Kids will have so much fun they won?t even know they are learning! Are you interested in becoming a healthcare professional, doctor, nurse, etc.? Then this camp is for YOU! You will learn skills professionals use every day in the hospital. Campers will have hands-on learning experiences working as healthcare providers. Activities will include learning how to take blood pressures, apply personal protective equipment, listen to heart and lung sounds, give injections, start IVs, suture wounds, participate in a simulation scenario and much more. Our most unique camp, and a staff favorite! The spiritual focus of this camp is communing with God through His creation. Campers will sleep "outdoors" in our enclosed yurts and cook two meals a day over an open fire. Worship under the stars nightly. No previous camping experience required! Learn seamanship and the fundamentals of sailing small sailboats for beginner students. Topics include parts of the sailboat, sailing terminology, sail trim, safety and steering.
