2016 RVA 9-14 yr. old Fishing Camp - St. Catherines School
Our Richmond day camp for 9-14 year old runs Mon-Fri from 8:30 to 4:30. We have designed the camp to teach the entire process of fishing from rigging rods, tying knots, baiting hooks, to driving boats with trolling motors, all while introducing campers to the great wealth of fishing opportunities the area has to offer from catching bass and bluegill in private farm ponds to smallmouth bass and flathead catfish on the James River. 804-272-6362
Period 1 - Beginning Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 5th and 6th graders will learn the basic usage and safety of HAND TOOLS including a coping saw, file, sanding block, and cordless drill. Some small machines may be used such as the scroll saw, spindle sander, Dremel engraver, and drill press. All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a beginner list. Other projects will be available if time permits. Projects choices include a can lamp, small cutting board, name block, or tombstone clock. 8475043400 x2520
Youth Advanced Academy Female - University of Tulsa
This is an intensive customized program for competitive girls 13 and younger. Instruction will focus on performing techniques with less time and space, and making tactical decisions at a higher speed. Each day, players receive top flight instruction from the nationally ranked and recognized University of Tulsa Mens and Womens Coaches as well as other top Collegiate, Club and High School coaches and players. Registration will be Sunday from 1-3 and pick up will be Thursday at 11:30 am. Other activities include high ropes, GaGa ball, and more.
