Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Here is a chance for outdoorsy, nature-loving youth ages 9-13 to sleep under the stars at Connolly Ranch. With old friends and new, campers will enjoy practicing basic survival skills, foraging for food and learning how to cook over an open fire. The evening includes a night hike, star gazing, smores-making and storytelling around the fire. Dinner and breakfast included. Campers bring their own camping gear. 707-224-1894

Early Bird options are available for all ages in TAC Manhattan Summer Camp and TAC Brooklyn Summer Camp from 8AM- 9AM. Located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, Camp Horseshoe is an ACA accredited residential camp. Campers are supervised at all times by trained staff. The 6 day camp provides many opportunities for your child. Living in cabins as a family unit, some of the activities available are: fishing, arts & crafts, library time, fossil hunting, creek adventure, sports, dance, games, singing, and swimming. Young Paleontologist 7/25 - Open Door Church
Have a digger or a rock hound in the house? Then Young Paleontologist may solve your problems. Dinosaurs may be extinct, but they are very much alive during this week of camp. Special emphasis will be placed on observation, inference, data collection and just plain fun as our young scientists learn about a variety of dinosaurs and their habitats. Rocks, minerals and fossils are studied and hands may get dirty in these hands-on activities. This is Geology 101! 919-847-7625
