We had SO much fun last year we decided to do it again!!!! Sign your kiddo's up for our 2nd annual Fit Kid Camp! Camp will run from June 27-July 1 from 9-11 daily at Anderson Dean Park. This Camp is a week-long art experience with Darlene Marshall and Mike Gibson. Campers will learn about artists, art techniques, and dabble in art history. Both sessions are identical. For ages 8-11. Do you enjoy telling stories with pictures? Do you love looking at childrens books and picture books? If the answer is yes, then youll love Illustration Camp. In this week long camp, we will learn about the process of illustrating a story. We will discover our imaginations, learn basic techniques, and develop an understanding of designing characters. Teresa Assenzo is an Instructor of Fine Arts at Saint Marys School. Ms. Assenzo has a B.F.A from Kendall College of Art and Design, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She has taught at Western Michigan University and has worked with children of all ages at art museums and institutes. Ms. Assenzo has also illustrated and published books for parents and children, has done free-lance writing, and has done art and writing with diverse groups of children and adults. Explore through writing where real life ends and fiction begins. This two-day workshop will help you express (and discover) what is meaningful to you through writing: What true experiences motivate your work, and how can you make them truthful in fiction? Where does real life end and fiction begin? Award-winning writer and Colorado Mesa University instructor Rhonda Claridge will work with students on creating composite characters, developing fiction out of what they know, and elucidating the essence of their narratives.
