3rd Annual Fireworks Fundraiser "Celebrate and Laugh" for Avengers Fre
The Avengers Mentoring Organization (501c3) presents it's 3rd Annual Charity Fireworks Fundraiser for our 5th Annual Summer Camp! Our FREE summer camp serves 300 children ages 6-13 in and around the Metro-Detroit area. This daily camp runs from July 11, 2016-August 19, 2016. Locations are: The Golightly Education Center (5536 St. Antoine) and George Crockett Academy (4851 14th St) in Detroit. During the camp, children are involved in team sports such as: volleyball, basketball, kickball, baseball and more, arts and crafts, group mentoring, outdoor recreational play and are also served by a mobile dentist. Meals are provided by Good Samaritan Food and is run by up to 25 volunteers! Field trips are also optional and available! This year's theme is "Celebrate and Laugh," the fireworks is a tradition in Metro-Detroit, get a magnificent view of the fireworks at One Woodward on the 19th floor! Enjoy a barbecue style meal, laughs by Comedians Mic Larry and Simply Shanell and enjoy the sounds of singing sensation and recording artist Johnyce! There will be music, dancing and many activities, as well as a VIP charter ride to and from the event! But most of all, you will be a part of helping the Avengers...

NewEnglandTeen II ($1375) - Rehearsal week at Stump Sprouts Retreat Center
Led by Larry Gordon, John Harrison, Zoe Christiansen. The initial rehearsal week will be followed by a 12-day tour around rural New England. 1-802-426-3210
Drumset Camp - 4th-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hake Drumset Camp will be a week full of drum excitement! We will learn the basics of a drumset in rock and pop drumming and how to further your skills for playing with any type of group! We will learn how to read a drum chart, play along to music, and more. Music knowledge and experience are encouraged. There will be a beginner class and an intermediate class. The week will culminate with a performance on Friday afternoon where we will rock out as a group. *Players are welcome to bring their own drum kit. The teacher will call parents to let them know which class they will be in before the camp. 316-771-2289

In this highly entertaining boot camp, you will learn the behaviors and codes that signal you are minding your manners and practicing the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Etiquette rituals are traditionally considered manuals for success and are designed to increase human sociability in a culture or group. In todays world of information overload and cultural diversity, how do parents and kids break down the various codes that impart a healthy level of self-restraint and compromise that expresses honor for oneself and others?
