I used to go to this camp as a kid and now that I have my own daughter, I sent here to this camp as well. My sister, whom also attending this camp as a kid, pulled her kids out of this camp last year, stating that there was a lot of bullying and picking on kids and no accountability for this type of behavior. Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining Lego X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators, and defense turrets. Bike Hike - Vasona Lake County Park
Biology and ecology is as easy as riding a bike! Use your bike as a vehicle to explore and learn more about our local environment. The trails in and near Vasona Park will reveal critical features of our watershed and interesting aspects of our local and natural history. Practice and improve your riding skills and learn trail etiquette and bicycle safety. Also delve into the mechanics of various bike parts with hands-on experiments. Participants must bring their own helmet, two-wheel bicycle with 20" or larger wheels (no training wheels) and be comfortable riding. YSI cannot provide overnight bike storage. 408-827-5507
