Female lacrosse players of all ability levels are welcome to attend this camp. Athletes will develop technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful player. Session will consist of agility, stick skills, offensive and defensive strategy and teamwork drills. Campers will participate in position specific drills as well as scrimmages and other competitions. Pop! Fizz! Chemical Reactions - Seattle Preparatory School
This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep. The campers will build with something different every day in the Makerspace, including Legos, littleBits, Knex, Straws and cardboard. Depending on the product used to build, the children will bring either their creation or a picture of what they built home with them. Although the emphasis will be on building from their imagination, there will be different prompts each day, such as to build an animal or a piece of furniture. Camp Collegiate Session 4 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 4: Cool Chemistry Camp Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced.
