We will be helping to restore the wetland habitat by removing invasive weeds, spreading mulch, and planting native trees and shrubs! $15 fee to participate includes staff supervision and transportation to service projects.

CODING Through the use of Code Studio and Scratch students will examine the connections between elements of mathematics and computer science in a fun and engaging environment. Students will also engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3-4 topics and texts, building on others ideas and expressing their own clearly. • Construct a program as a set of step-by-step instructions to be acted out. • Develop a simple understanding of an algorithm using computer-free exercises. • Use the basic steps in algorithmic problem solving to design solutions. • Describe and analyze a sequence of instructions being followed. • Use visual representations of problem states, structures, and data. • Use abstraction to decompose a problem into sub problems. • Examine connections between elements of mathematics and computer science including binary numbers, logic, sets, and functions. • Students will generate and compare multiple possible solutions to a problem based on how well each is likely to meet the criteria and constraints of the problem. The Princeton University Girls Ice Hockey High School is designed for High School (entering grades 9-12) players whose aspiration is to play competitive hockey at the collegiate level. This camp features 14 hours of ice time. Morning sessions will focus on the fundamentals of skill development and power-skating. Players will learn proper body position, edge control, and how to lengthen their stride. Puck protection, passing and scoring will be skills taught. The afternoon session will consist of and team play/concepts. Players will learn all aspects of team play and will develop skills through collegiate style practices. Coaching will parallel standards we teach to our college team. Games will be played Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday morning.
