This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter. By the end of the class, the students will have created a scarf using techniques learned in the class. (201) 427-1458

Explore Stonington Harbor on stand up paddle boards, while stretching, relaxing and testing your core balance. Ride the crystal clear waves of Rhode Island during surf class. No previous experience is needed, but an interest in the ocean and being active is a must. This class is perfect for new or returning students. Creative Art Shotz - The Evergreen School
Students will be busy this week creating some practical and impressive projects. A variety of unique craft materials will be used. This class is a hands-on (no modeling) sensory experience. A few examples of items your child may create include soap, metal magnet boards, bird houses, cool canvas projects, and psychedelic stones. 206-957-1533
