You will learn just a few cool chords and scales in order to create melodies and improvisations, and will use a lead sheet as a means to play almost anything right from the first time you see it. Bring your iPhones or iPads (if you have them) for recording. The Cobra's youth football camp is a non-contact football camp that cultivates talented young people in an effort to unite a community that has deeply supported athletics and leadership building. Participants of the Cobra's Camp will receive personal coaching from TN Cobra players and other former college players, and trained coaches. All youth (boys & girls) between the ages of 5-13 are encouraged to participate. We only have 100 spots; this event is being held at an indoor athletic facility and will not cancel due to weather. Phonics provides the groundwork for becoming a successful reader and can be phun!! With the use of 1-2 books per day campers will improve their phonics skills (including: word awareness, syllable awareness, rhyming, sound awareness and comprehension). Each book will be paired with phun phonics activities and a creative craft! Lets have a phabulous time with phonics!! Brian Baum, current head coach at Canyon Crest Academy, offers an unique basketball camp that will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, ball handling and defense. Current and former collegiate coaches will teach the fundamentals of basketball throughout the week. 2016 Michigan Youth Day Camp - Crisler Center
Campers will be introduced and taught the basic skills of passing, shooting, cutting, dribbling and defense. Instruction will be done with drills, relays, lead-up games and contests. We will use 8-foot and 10-foot baskets to allow campers to experience success. Campers will have fun and enjoy learning the basic fundamentals of basketball. Check-in will begin Monday, July 18, at Crisler Center at 8:30 am. Camp activities will begin right after check-in and camp will be dismissed at 4 pm each afternoon (full-day). Those campers that are staying for the half-day option will be dismissed at 12 pm. Camp will begin each morning at 9 am.
