This camp is designed to help campers learn the high level fundamental skills needed to become a great shooter. Coach Lubbers teams have consistently ranked as one of the best FT and 3PT shooting teams not only in the RMAC but in the country. CCU Consistently ranks in the top 10 in the country in 3PT%, FT%, 3PTFG Made and FT Made. In 2015 Coach Lubbers led CCU to the programs 1st ever National Championship. There are many things we have to survive in this world. Failures, conflicts, temptations, the list goes on. Though surviving the pressures and conflicts in our lives can be a tough and painful process, we can take comfort in the fact that like a piece of coal, we are being turned into precious diamonds for God's purpose. And in a culture that increasingly pushes Christians to the outskirts, it can be like being stranded on an island. But since the begining us Christians have been called to be set apart, "in the world but not of the world", and we know that through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, that we can more than just meely survive, but we can strive! Join us this year in taking a stand on the principles and truths that the Word of God gives us, stepping up to live out our calling and purpose and learning how to transition from being Survivors to becomeing more than conquerors!! This year's theme is COMMISSION based on Isaiah 6:8 "And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” We have been saved, reedemeed, given a new identity as sons and daughters of the King. We have been COMMISSIONED to something greater than going through the motions of everyday life. Join us this year as we take three days to dive into this theme through worship, prayer, teaching of the word, team activities and so much more! Registration opens June 1st. The price will be $170 until August 1st. After that it will go up to $185. Don't miss out, register as soon as possible! SEP Tahoe Junior Campers - SEP Tahoe
SEP (Spiritual Enrichment Program) Tahoe Camp is a six-day-long youth camp held each summer at Lake Tahoe. Campers ages 8 - 17 are all welcome (Jr & Sr camps run simultaneously). SEP Tahoe has a thorough screening process for its volunteers, who have a passion for sharing Gods love with our youth. Our organization has been running camps for well over 50 years, and we have had over 100,000 campers through our cabins across the United States as well as several other countries. We are a Christian-based, non-profit organization operated by an all-volunteer staff. **For First Time Campers under the age of 10, a parent or guardian MUST register to volunteer at camp with them.** 510-366-2827
Beginning Theater - North Yarmouth Academy
Does your child love the stage? Love to create and give life to other characters? Or could your child use an extra boost of confidence? This camp is designed for children new to theatre, using activities in role playing, improvisation, pantomime, and scene writing to bring the theatre to life for young actors. Students will also learn about staging and putting a show together. This camp will culminate with a performance Friday afternoon for family and friends. 207.846.2376
Weeks 5-8 PM: 420 Racing Program (Session 2) - NESS
Come learn what it takes to be successful in fleet and team racing (the fun and challenging form of sailing as a team sport). Our experienced race coaches will challenge students to perfect their boat handling techniques, with the skipper and crew developing and refining coordination and mutual reliance. Students will work on improving and refining their boat-handling skills and developing together as a two-person team. Students will be challenged to perfect their upwind and downwind sailing techniques and will learn to better use hiking straps, tiller extensions, and sail controls and will develop their spinnaker and trapeze skills. Students will expand their knowledge of wind, weather, and tides, and will work on basic racing techniques and rules. Students will be encouraged to compete in the many local 420 regattas that we tow boats to by water. All students will be under the supervision of our race coaches in class and at local regattas. In addition to fleet racing, coaches will teach the techniques, tactics and rules of team racing through practice drills and a practice-race format. Our P.M. Club provides a safe environment for children to enjoy after 3:30 p.m., when our regular programs end. Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor organized games, free play, and reading time. Bring a snack and a water bottle—and wear sunscreen, a hat, and athletic shoes. If you fail to pick up your child on time, late pick-up fees apply. (Be sure to read Pick-Up policy.) Kristen Bauer is a first grade teacher at Zuni Elementary School, where she is dedicated to motivating children to learn to the best of their abilities.
