Art 2 - Street Art - Artists Exchange
What will your artsified city look like? Urban installation artists can create just about anything from huge steel sculptures in parks, 40 foot long mosaics in subways, giant murals on sky high buildings, Using inspiration from city life, campers will paint, sculpt and erect a city from the pavement to the sky. Exploring clay, drawing, painting, 3D construction and more, participants will complete an assortment of individual and group projects in each weeks theme, culminating in a showcase at the end of each camp, followed by the unveiling of an installation at our 9th annual Fall Out of Summer Arts Festival in September. 401-490-9475
MYNA (High School Boys & Girls) - MCM Youth
The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it. Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. MYGB will continue to offer its Quran program with the hope that this program will help our youth bond with the Quran through this experience Inshallah. By the end of each session of MYGB Quran program participants will have developed: *- greater appreciation of the words of Allah; *- better ability to read and recite the Quran; *- better understanding of some of the basic concepts addressed by the verses repeated in the short chapters. The program will also have a memorization component based on the youths abilities and readiness for memorization. All teachers and volunteers have tremendous experience working with youth in this particular field. Groups will be divided by age and then by competency level. Competency level will be determined by a competency test that participants will have to go through on the first day of the program. 586.610.1659

Jump into 3-D game design using the visual programming tool Kodu to design and mold terrain, set camera angles, adjust lighting, populate objects, and program behaviors. Combine these skills to create an original platform for racing or storytelling within a 3-D world. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY. FRIDAYS ARE FIELD TRIP DAYS AND ARE THEREFORE FULL DAYS. UNLESS THE CAMP DIRECTOR GIVES YOU AN EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME, PLAN TO DROP OFF YOUR CHILD AT 9:00 AM ON FRIDAYS.
