Learn the Royal Game the fun way! At Chess Camp, every hour is informative, and yet avoids the dryness of rote instruction. We provide boys with interactive lessons, individual matches, helpful principles, and much more than simply playing games for hours on end. Whether learning the game for the first time or looking to master it, boys ages 6-13 can enjoy the Game of Kings and all of its auxiliary benefits, including logic, prudence, patience, forethought, evaluation, and analytical skills. Most importantly, all activities will take place in a fun and enjoyable environment under thoughtful and cheerful instruction. Far from sitting in front of a chess board all day, the campers will also enjoy some sports and integrated activities. Come enjoy one of the oldest and greatest games with friends and fun. FREE- Type 1 Diabetes Teen Camp - Cornville, AZ
JDRF has partnered together with Camp Soaring Eagle to offer a FREE CAMP to Type One Diabetic children ages 8-15 to come experience the healing power of laughter! CSE offers two camper weekends dedicated to T1D kids in a session for Teens and a session for Youth. Youth T1D camp is for kids 8-12 and Teen T1D Camp is for kids 13-15. The camper session runs from Friday-Sunday. CSE provides the campers with opportunity to learn about diabetes management and encourages independent health care. Campers with diabetes feel normal because they see all their peers with the same challenging diagnosis. CSE provides a balanced diet and menu with all carb counts for all meals. Steel Pan Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Whether youve just started learning an instrument or have been playing for years, playing steel pan is fun for everyone! We invite all instrumentalists to come learn to play pan - from percussionists to tuba players, violinists to bassoonists! If youre looking for a new, fun way to play music, youll love learning about this Caribbean instrument from Trinidad and Tobago. Youll have a chance to try out all of the instruments - from the high lead pan all the way down to the deep, low tones of the bass pans. Youll work with your instructor to learn basics of playing steel pan and play in several ensembles with everyone at the camp. Family and friends are invited to attend a concert on the last day of camp. SKILLS Percussion/Drum Set

Fossil Beach Field Trip (Led by our very own Mei Len Sanchez Barr) June 29th 9am – 4pm $80 Are you ready to go Fossil Hunting? Join our team of fossil hunter enthusiasts, where we will go in our ECOADVENTURES Snake van to Matoaka Beach in St. Leonards. Put your skills to the test (and with a little luck), dig, unearth, and uncover, shark, crocodile, whale, skate and rays, and shells fossils from the Chesapeake Bay! Best part- is you get to keep what you find! Learn and participate in seining activities where we will look at the marine life and catch fish, eels, shrimp, crabs, and more! Have your team participate in a beach scavenger hunt. All this fun will make you hungry for a BBQ lunch with hot dogs, chips, and a drink while you relax in a gazebo overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Counselor in Training (CIT) - New England Frontier Camp
The CIT Program is the capstone of the camping experience for young men. For decades, the CIT program at New England Frontier Camp has challenged young men physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to refine and build their character. They are pushed and challenged in ways designed to grow their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Our CITs will build leadership experience into their lives that they can carry with them into manhood. The program is a five week program, consisting of two weeks of Pre-Camp training with the staff, and the first week of summer program with some intensive activies and projects. CITs have the opportunity to acheive Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding and First Aid. Then, during sessions of the summer camp program, CITs are placed in limited program activities and closely observed by the senior staff.
