Teens will add to coding skills learned in Part 1 to instruct RedBot to follow simple to complex line patterns. Mini lessons focused on the masters (Van Gogh, Matisse, Klimt, Calder, Picasso, etc.) and hands on projects inspired by their work. LIGHT TO DARK: DARKROOM EXPLORATION - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Rosanne Stutts The technical aspects of black-and-white photography will be emphasized so that students can work more creatively with their camera and in the darkroom. Camera operations, use of equipment such as lenses, tripod, and light meter, and correct film selection are among the topics to be covered. Learn basic density and contrast controls for both negatives and prints, along with proper film development. Basic darkroom procedures, safety, printmaking techniques, burning and dodging, toning, archival processing and print presentation will also be discussed. Please bring your own 35-mm camera with manual controls. Little Chefs (3-6): Pack your bag for a culinary geography adventure. With recipes from around the world, preschoolers will be cooking a new dish every day using summer vegetables. Big Bakers (6-12): Children will bake yeast bread and quick bread, make delicious summer fruit pies and bake foods from other countries.
