Rise and shine campers, its time for a show! Come join Duke Schools biggest, wildest variety revue for its 7th consecutive year! Do you like to sing and dance? Do you like puppets, jokes or just like to ham it up? Variety Show Camp is the camp for you! At the beginning of the week well try different activities - read some jokes, sing, act out skits and talk about our talents. Halfway through the week, well begin to craft and rehearse our show. Do you get writers cramp each time you are asked to put your thoughts on paper? If so, writing camp is just the ticket for you! During our time together we will explore the options for brainstorming and will work together to create some fantastic written materials. Students will learn tips to become better writers--whether developing a poem, fictional story, or essay. Welcome to Hogwarts Americana-the American extension of Hogwarts. Campers will be immersed in the fictional world of Harry Potter. They will start off by being sorted into one of four houses-Paladorn, Grizelstorm, Embredor or Firesong. During this magical week, students will experience Potion Making, Charms, Muggle Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Quidditch and plenty of games that will give them chances to earn points for their houses.
