Kids Winter Art Camp: Mixed-Media Masks! - Bellingham, WA
In this winter break art class, we'll imagine that we are in a warm tropical place with palm trees, wild birds singing, and sandy beaches. To inspire our imagination, we’ll learn about the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin, the location of Tahiti, and a brief history of Tikis. Tiki masks actually have a long, rich history in Polynesian culture. The Tiki masks were originally hand-carved wooden masks that were used to symbolize deities, give protection, and increase luck. We'll create our own colorful and textured papers with paints with a variety of brushes, and different items to make texture, in mixed-media format, then use the painted papers to create our Tiki masks. Youth Football Day Camp - Farrell Stadium
West Chester University Football Camp specializes in teaching non-contact skills to youths ages 7-14. Training is age appropriate and station based, allowing both beginner and advanced players to participate in all skill and drill work. Campers will have the opportunity to work with position areas on both offense and defense. The camp will be run by the football staff at West Chester University along with many current members of the Golden Rams team. Campers will get the opportunity to learn from and interact with members of the nationally successful Golden Rams football team. This is a great opportunity for campers to learn from players who are currently performing the same skills they will teach.
